Employer Partnership Program

Develop relationships with and benefit from access to talented and diverse FLC students, alumni, and faculty. Help participants build professional skills and connections that lead to career opportunities as you gain access to new ideas and energy to maintain and grow your business.

The program membership fee is $1000/year with customized services to fit your needs. All engagement with classrooms and faculty depends on faculty approval.

Employer Internship Funding application

We believe all our students should be compensated for their internships. We also realize our employer partners can use a little assistance from time to time. To solve this, the Career & Life Design Center has partnered with the FLC Foundation and several amazing donors to help our students and employer partners. If you want financial assistance to support an FLC student intern at your organization, fill out an application.

Important dates—Spring 2026 Internship Deadlines

  • Funding application deadline - 12/1/25

  • Employer notified of decision - 12/12/25

  • Deadline to hire - 1/30/26

  • Recipient information sent - 2/4/26

Career & Internship EXPO - Local Employers

The Spring 2026 Career & Internship EXPO is Fort Lewis College’s annual career fair, hosted in the Student Union Ballroom from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.  It offers a focused opportunity to recruit for part-time, full-time, seasonal, internship, and volunteer roles while strengthening connections across the region.

This section of the EXPO is specifically designed for regional employers looking to engage directly with FLC students. Regional means that the student would not have to move from Durango or the surrounding area for the position. Ideally, these positions are within 1.5 hours of FLC.
