Radical Possibilities (RP) creates intentional mentoring relationships for youth in grades 6-12 who are facing adverse life conditions that affect their well-being and ability to engage positively in their lives. Mentors are given comprehensive training and guidance in order to provide skilled support to their mentees. The program qualifies for internship credit for students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
The typical time commitment is 2-4 hours/week. We prefer mentors to stay for 1 year although we will consider shorter lengths of time on a case-by-case basis. Mentors are given a $15/week allowance to spend with their mentees and they are reimbursed for their mileage. We are also working on providing group activities for all of the mentors and youth in the program.
