DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Student assistants specific duties include: reception, greeting students, answering phones, directing calls to Nursing or Medical Office staff when appropriate, making new patient charts while maintaining patient confidentiality, filing medical records using very accurate alphabetical order, making copies as directed, assisting to clean work area and restocking, processing immunization records using specified system, completing simple financial operations, and compiling patient educational materials as directed.
Excellent communication skills with an awareness of patient confidentiality.
