Position Description Summary: Responsible for diagnosing internal/external inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance and support of mainframe, servers and personal computers and related systems. Performs troubleshooting in the identification of applicable problems relating to mainframe, midrange, servers and PCs, applications software, and basic network communications. Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.): • Provide 1st and 2nd level support to end users on a variety of issues. Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. • Identify, research, and resolve a variety of technical problems • Consistently demonstrates knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a variety of fields. • Track and monitor the problem to insure a timely resolution as managed through an automated system • Utilizes instructions and pre-established guidelines to assist in the performance the functions of the job • Provide support to project teams The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel): This is an intermediate level position. Good interpersonal skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Generally prefer 2-4 years of experience.
